Niya Yoga was founded by Nayomi McKenna, a certified yoga teacher living in Thomastown. Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Nayomi’s yoga journey started from an early age and she has gone on to practice yoga around the world, working and studying with leading gurus and pioneers. For several years now, she has been teaching yoga and leading yoga retreats. Her teaching style is deeply authentic. She is passionate about enabling her students to develop on their own lifelong yoga journeys. Her classes are infused with compassion, humour and intelligence. Specialist styles offered focus on restorative and meditation techniques, including: Dynamic-lead Ashtanga, Creative Vinyasa, Yin, Myofascial release, Breathing, Yoga Nidra, Chanting, and Candle-light meditation.

Rajesh Rawat is qualified yoga teacher based in Rishikesh India. He is holding a Master degree in YOGA and he started teaching yoga professionally immediately after his graduation and he is now teaching in so many different yoga s schools around Uttarakhand. Rajesh Approach to yoga remains ever focused on the balance between strength and flexibility, exertion and release. His classes focus on Vinyasa flow and you can expect to move sweat and breathe.

How is the weather in Rishikesh?

India is a country offering you the mesmerizing weather. The city of Rishikesh, where our yoga school is located, offers you extremely good weather. Throughout the year, the weather will definitely overwhelm you, except for some months. June is extremely hot here with temperature up to 40°C, July-August observed heavy rainfall and late-December to early-January offers cold weather with temperature ranges up to 5° C.

You can take the flight to Delhi, from where you will get lots of options to reach the beautiful city of Rishikesh, like:
By Air: You can take a flight from Delhi to Dehradun Airport (around 24km away from our school), from there, you can take a cab to our school or contact us for arranging a cab.
By Train: Train is available from Delhi to Haridwar or Dehradun and from there you will get a lot of options to reach our school.
By Road: Bus or Cab is available from Delhi to Rishikesh.

Do you provide WiFi facilities at your yoga studio

Yes, we do provide WiFi and some other common facilities at our studio in some common areas for communication needs. but we will highly recommend and encourage you to unplugg and disconnect yourself from the social world for the time you are in the retreat for a better experience.

I am new to this field. Can I still learn it?

Yes, of course! Even it will be interesting to learn something apart from your regular field. Don't worry, people with every level of yoga knowledge can join yoga course of 100 Hours or 200 Hours. Also, yoga programs can be joined by you with having zero knowledge of it.
